Why people look elsewhere
- The invite cap. SignNow's pricing FAQ says: "Annual plans include up to 100 signature invites per account per year. Monthly plans include up to 10 signature invites per account per month." The whole account shares it, however many users you add: about 8.33 a month on the annual plan.
- Past the cap. The plan moves to pay-as-you-go, and the page doesn't give the price for Business. The only per-invite price shown is Site License, $1.50 an invite, through sales.
- Monthly billing costs more. Business is $20 billed monthly against $8 billed annually; the page shows "Save $144".
- What Business leaves out. Request Payments, bulk send and invite links start at Business Premium; advanced signer authentication at Enterprise. Phone support is Site License only.
- HIPAA. "HIPAA compliance through BAA" is a dash on Business, Business Premium and Enterprise and a paid add-on on Site License only.
- No free plan. There's a 7-day free trial.
The alternatives, by what you need
If you need unlimited documents for one sender: SignWell
SignWell Light is $10 a month billed annually ($120 a year) or $12 month to month, for one sender with "Unlimited Documents", 5 templates per sender, reminders, an audit trail and a Google Drive integration. Its comparison table ticks "HIPAA support / BAA" for Light, support is by email, phone or Zoom call, and the page says "No long-term contracts". There's a free plan with 3 documents a month. Extra senders are $10 a month each on the annual plan.
If you need unlimited requests and a free plan: Dropbox Sign
Dropbox Sign Essentials is $15 a month billed yearly ($180) or $20 month to month, for one sender with unlimited signature requests, up to 5 templates, reminders and cloud storage integrations. Its free plan sends 3 requests a month, and paid plans have a 30-day free trial. Its pricing table lists email support for Essentials.
If you need unlimited documents for several users: PandaDoc
PandaDoc Starter is $19 per user a month billed annually ($228 a year) or $35 month to month, with unlimited documents, up to 5 templates and 24/7 in-app chat. It can collect payments through Stripe (the Collect Payment workflow step is still being rolled out to Starter). It has no automatic reminders; those start at Business. Free eSign sends up to 60 documents a calendar year. Prices are from PandaDoc's help centre, because its site showed a security check.
If you need a per-user allowance and signer checks: Zoho Sign
Zoho Sign Standard is US$10 per user a month billed annually (US$120 a year) or US$12 month to month, with 25 envelopes per user a month. Its comparison table ticks SMS OTP, knowledge-based checks from IDology and Stripe Identity for Standard, and it lists priority support by email, web and phone. The free plan covers a single user and 5 envelopes a month. Templates start at Professional, per Zoho's help.
If you need a team plan with no usage caps: Adobe Acrobat Sign
Adobe's cheapest plan that sends for signature is Acrobat Standard, US$14.99 a month on an annual plan or US$24.99 month to month, with PDF editing and phone and chat support. Its pages don't state a request limit for Standard. Acrobat Standard for teams is US$16.99 per license a month on an annual plan, and Adobe says teams plans have "no usage caps". Cancelling the annual plan billed monthly after 14 days can cost up to half the remaining commitment.
All prices come from each company's own pages linked above, read Sep 27, 2026.
Before you switch
SignNow's pricing page offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Its cloud storage integration imports from Google Drive, Dropbox, Box and OneDrive and can "Export automatically once signed". If you connected it, check your storage for signed copies before you cancel.
