Who should pick which
- Adobe Acrobat Sign: PDF editing and e-signature requests in one Acrobat subscription, from $14.99 a month
- PandaDoc: Sales documents and quotes with e-signature; Starter collects Stripe payments at signing
Adobe no longer shows a self-serve Acrobat Sign plan: e-signature requests come with Acrobat subscriptions, and the standalone Acrobat Sign Solutions are sold through sales. So Adobe's side here is Acrobat Standard, the cheapest plan on its plans page whose card lists "Collect e-signatures and track responses". Acrobat Express doesn't send for signature.
PandaDoc's own site showed a security check when we read it, so its prices come from its help-centre plan comparison.

Where they differ
- Documents. PandaDoc's plan comparison shows unlimited documents on Starter. Adobe's pages don't state a limit for Acrobat Standard.
- Reminders. PandaDoc's auto reminders are for Business and Enterprise only; Starter has email notifications but not automatic reminders. Adobe's help page lets you "set a reminder frequency" when sending, with no plan restriction stated.
- Payments. PandaDoc Starter can collect payments through Stripe only; the article says the Collect Payment workflow step is still being rolled out to Starter. Adobe's pages don't say Acrobat Standard collects payments.
- Support. PandaDoc offers 24/7 in-app chat, bot first, then a live agent; no phone line is named. Adobe lists phone and chat for Acrobat Standard.
- Free option. PandaDoc's Free eSign sends up to 60 documents a calendar year, 2 recipients each. A free Acrobat account allows two requests every 30 days.
