These Terms of Use govern your use of honest-reviews.org, operated by Honest Reviews Tech LLC (“HonestReviews,” “we,” “us” or “our”). Please read them before using the website. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the website.

1. What HonestReviews provides

We publish comparisons, documentary reviews, guides and related information about products and services. We are a publisher, not the seller of the third-party products and services we describe.

Our coverage is selective. Inclusion, omission, a score or a ranking is not a guarantee of quality, availability, suitability or a particular outcome. Our methodology explains the scoring process and the distinction between scores and ranking positions.

2. No professional advice or professional relationship

Content on this website is general information. It is not legal, tax, medical, financial or individualized compliance advice, including advice about HIPAA obligations. Reading a guide, using a comparison or contacting us does not create an attorney-client, accountant-client, clinician-patient, fiduciary or other professional advisory relationship.

Business-formation requirements, privacy duties, healthcare obligations and other regulated matters depend on facts, location and changes in the law. A vendor's product or marketing claim does not establish that your organization is compliant. Consult an appropriately qualified professional about your circumstances before acting.

Do not submit protected health information, medical records, passwords or payment-card details through our general contact channels or corrections form.

3. Research, prices and offers

Our scores are based on documentary research and published information, not hands-on testing. A page may contain a provider's representations, our assessment of the available evidence, or both; those should be read in context.

Prices are shown “as checked on” the stated date. Providers can change prices, renewal charges, features, eligibility and terms after that date. Confirm all material details on the provider's website before buying. The price and terms presented by the provider for your transaction are what govern that transaction, subject to applicable law.

Offers may be limited by time, location, eligibility or other conditions. We do not promise that a displayed offer remains available when you follow a link.

4. Affiliate relationships and ranking

Some links are commercial referral links. We may receive compensation for qualifying clicks, purchases, subscriptions or other actions, or under fixed-fee arrangements where our category rules permit them.

We do not control those websites or perform the vendor's obligations. Questions about an order, subscription, refund, cancellation, service delivery or warranty should be directed to the provider responsible for the transaction. This provision does not exclude any responsibility we have under mandatory law for our own conduct.

6. Our content and third-party trademarks

Unless otherwise stated, the text, original graphics and other content we create are owned by or licensed to HonestReviews and protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may access the website for lawful personal or internal business evaluation. Other uses require permission unless applicable law permits them.

Nothing in these terms limits fair use, quotation rights or other rights that cannot lawfully be restricted. Do not remove attribution or present our work as your own.

Provider names, product names, logos and other trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance identifies the relevant provider or product; it does not by itself establish sponsorship, endorsement or a commercial relationship beyond what we disclose.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use the website for unlawful conduct or submit information you know is false in a way that harms others.
  • Impersonate another person, misrepresent your relationship with a provider or forge an author's, reviewer's or business representative's identity.
  • Introduce malicious code, interfere with the website or attempt unauthorized access to systems or information.

  • Use automated requests in a manner that materially disrupts the website or degrades access for other users.
  • Infringe another person's intellectual-property, privacy or other legal rights.

These restrictions do not prevent lawful criticism, the reporting of an error, or uses protected by applicable law.

8. Reports and material you send us

You remain responsible for information you submit and for having permission to share it. When you send a correction or supporting material, you allow us to use it as reasonably necessary to investigate, respond and correct our content. You do not transfer ownership of your material to us merely by submitting it.

We may summarize a verified factual correction in a public correction note. We do not publish your private reply-to email as part of that note. Handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

9. Availability and limitations of the information

We aim to keep the website useful and accurate, but information can be incomplete, become outdated or contain errors. We may update, suspend or remove content and features when necessary.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. This does not replace our corrections process, excuse misleading statements or limit rights that the law protects.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, HonestReviews is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website, including losses resulting from decisions based on outdated third-party prices or terms.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence where such an exclusion is prohibited, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply. If a limitation is not permitted in your jurisdiction, it applies only to the extent permitted there.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and how to exercise applicable rights. Agreement to these terms does not replace any separate consent legally required for optional analytics or tracking.

12. HonestFarewell

HonestFarewell is a sister site operated by HonestReviews. It is not ranked on this website. Its own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy continue to apply when you use that site; these terms do not replace those documents.

13. Governing law and disputes

Subject to mandatory consumer protections and other rights that cannot be waived, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.

Disputes will be heard by the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere or requires another forum. This clause does not remove protections or court access that mandatory law gives you.

Before starting a claim, you may contact legal@honest-reviews.org to discuss the issue. Doing so is not a condition that prevents you from exercising a legal right or meeting a filing deadline.

14. Changes and general provisions

We may update these terms and will identify the effective date of the current version. Material changes will be brought to your attention as required by applicable law. Changes do not retroactively remove rights that arose before they took effect.

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A decision not to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the ability to enforce it on another.
