Advertiser disclosure

HonestReviews is a commercial comparison and reviews website. We may receive compensation from some of the providers featured on this site, including through affiliate programs administered by Impact and CJ. Not every provider listed on this site pays us; those that don't are marked “No affiliate relationship.”

Depending on the agreement and the category's monetization rules, we may be paid when you make a purchase, subscribe, complete another qualifying action or follow a qualifying link. We may also have fixed-fee commercial arrangements. Not every provider is a paid partner, and we do not compare every available product or service. Codes marked “Partner code” are offered through our affiliate partners, and we may earn a commission when you use one.

How compensation can affect rankings

Our rankings start with editorial scores based on published evidence. Until real conversion data is available for an eligible ranking, the order is editorial only. Once that data is available, earnings may move a product by no more than two positions from its editorial position. When at least three products in a list have an editorial score of 80 or more, only those products can take the top three positions. Every earnings-based reorder is logged.

The documentary score and the position in a list are different things. Compensation does not buy a higher documentary score, but it can influence the order within these limits. Our reviews are based on published information, not hands-on product testing.

Limits on our commercial relationships

Payment does not change promotions under our promotion rules or inflate popularity counts. Eligible products without an affiliate agreement are still included and marked “No affiliate relationship.” Our own properties, including HonestFarewell, are never ranked.

We do not monetize financial products. Pre-need funeral planning is editorial-only coverage and is never monetized. A provider never has to pay to have a verified factual error corrected.

Before you choose a provider

A placement, score or recommendation is not a guarantee that an option suits you. Check the provider's current price, service details, restrictions and terms before purchasing. Your contract is with the provider, not HonestReviews.
