Password managers

How much does a business password manager cost?

Quick answer

For five users billed yearly, entry business plans cost $4.50 to $40 a month: Zoho Vault $4.50, Proton Pass $9.95, Keeper $10, RoboForm about $16.65, NordPass $19.90 (a 10-user pack), Bitwarden $20, LastPass $21.25, 1Password $24.95 (10 members) and Dashlane $40. Monthly billing, where offered, costs more, and some features are paid add-ons.

Password managers for business are priced per user, but two entry plans are sold by the ten and several features cost extra. Here is what the 9 companies in our business password manager ranking charge for a team of five, from their own pages, read on Oct 1, 2026.

DashlanePassword Management$8 per user a month$40$480

All prices are the regular price on annual billing (NordPass's 1-year plan). So five users pay $4.50 to $40 a month. Most land between about $16.65 and $24.95.

Packs and minimums change the maths

NordPass Teams and 1Password's Starter Pack are priced for ten. A team of five pays for ten seats either way. Five NordPass Business users would cost $19.95 a month on the 1-year plan, a nickel more than the Teams pack. Five 1Password Business users would cost $44.95 a month.

At the other end, Keeper Business Starter needs at least five users and allows at most ten, and Proton Pass Essentials needs at least three. 1Password's pack takes up to 10 more seats at $4.99 each a month, billed annually, for 20 members in all.

Monthly billing costs more

Four companies publish month-to-month prices:

  • Zoho Vault Standard: US$1 per user, so $5 a month for five, against $4.50 billed annually.
  • Proton Pass Essentials: $4.99 per user, so $24.95 for five, against $9.95 billed annually.
  • NordPass Teams: $2.49 per user, or $24.90 a month for the 10-user pack.
  • 1Password Teams Starter Pack: $29.90 a month (10 users at $2.99), against $24.95 billed annually.

RoboForm, LastPass, Keeper and Dashlane show annual prices only. Bitwarden's help centre says Teams "can be billed annually or monthly", but no monthly price is published.

The next plan up

The step up usually adds shared folders, SSO or breach alerts. Billed annually, per user a month: Proton Pass Professional $4.49, Zoho Vault Professional US$4.50 and Enterprise US$7.20, NordPass Business $3.99 and Enterprise $5.99, Keeper Business $4 and Enterprise $6, Bitwarden Enterprise $6, LastPass Business $7 and Business Max $11, and 1Password Business $8.99. RoboForm and Dashlane quote their enterprise plans through sales.

Add-ons and fees

  • Keeper: BreachWatch dark web alerts are $24 per user a year, and Advanced Reporting & Alerts $12 per user a year. Five Business Starter users with both pay $300 a year.
  • 1Password: extra Starter Pack seats at $4.99 each a month.
  • Taxes: Zoho Vault adds local taxes, Bitwarden's prices don't include taxes, LastPass adds them at checkout, NordPass's prices exclude VAT, and Proton says taxes may apply.

Deals, badges and renewals

NordPass's NPFALL26 code takes up to 10% off a new Business or Enterprise 1-year or 2-year plan until Oct 31, 2026. It's for first-time NordPass Business buyers of at least 5 subscriptions, not for Teams or monthly plans, and it lasts the first term only. With the full 10%, five Business users on the 1-year plan cost about $215.46 for the first year, then renew at the regular price.

Proton Pass's yearly cards show "60% OFF" and similar badges, measured against its own monthly price. No end date or renewal price is given, so we treat them as the regular yearly price. Proton's Terms say renewals are charged at "the then-current price".

Every plan renews on its own. LastPass, Keeper and Dashlane want notice at least 30 days before renewal (Keeper and Dashlane in writing). RoboForm, LastPass and Keeper give no refunds on business plans, and 1Password gives none for past charges. NordPass refunds within 14 days of the first purchase, Bitwarden within 30 days, and Zoho within the first 45 days.

Free plans and trials

Zoho Vault has a free plan that business users can use, with no password sharing. Zoho Vault's trial is 15 days. The other eight offer trials: 14 days at RoboForm, Proton Pass, LastPass, NordPass, Dashlane and 1Password, and an unstated length at Keeper and Bitwarden Teams.
