Price five users, and watch for packs and minimums
At the regular price billed annually, five users on each entry business plan cost:
- Zoho Vault Standard: $4.50 a month ($0.90 a user).
- Proton Pass Essentials: $9.95 a month ($1.99 a user). It needs at least 3 users and stops at 30.
- Keeper Business Starter: $10 a month ($2 a user). The plan covers 5 to 10 users, so five is the smallest team you can buy.
- RoboForm Business: $16.65 a month. It is sold as $39.95 a license a year.
- NordPass Teams: $19.90 a month on the 1-year plan. Teams is sold only as a 10-user pack at $1.99 a user, so you pay for ten. Five users on Business would cost $19.95.
- Bitwarden Teams: $20 a month ($4 a user).
- LastPass Teams: $21.25 a month ($4.25 a user), for up to 50 users.
- 1Password Teams Starter Pack: $24.95 a month, a flat price for up to 10 members. Five users on Business would cost $44.95.
- Dashlane Password Management: $40 a month ($8 a user).
Proton Pass puts a "60% OFF" badge on its yearly price. The badge compares it with paying monthly, and neither the page nor checkout gives an end date or a renewal price, so we treat $1.99 as the regular price. Checked Oct 1, 2026.
A NordPass code that ends October 31
Until October 31, 2026, the code NPFALL26 takes up to 10% off a new NordPass Business or Enterprise plan on a 1-year or 2-year term. It is for first-time NordPass Business buyers who buy at least 5 subscriptions in one purchase, and it doesn't apply to Teams or to monthly billing. The discount lasts for the first term only; renewal is at the normal price. With the full 10%, five Business users on the 1-year plan come to about $215.46 for the first year, against $238.80 for the Teams pack, then $239.40 a year. The promotion terms say Nord sets the rate by the number of subscriptions. Checked Oct 1, 2026.
Check what the entry plan leaves out
We check five things on each entry plan: shared vaults, an admin console, single sign-on (SSO), activity logs and breach monitoring.
- RoboForm Business is the only one with all five.
- LastPass Teams and Bitwarden Teams include four. SSO starts on LastPass Business and Bitwarden Enterprise. Bitwarden's breach check is a vault health report that flags exposed passwords.
- Dashlane Password Management includes four. Its pricing table puts credential risk alerts in Credential Protection, a separate package, and its audit trails are described on its security page without naming a plan.
- 1Password Teams Starter Pack includes three. SSO and the audit log are Business only.
- Proton Pass Essentials includes three. SSO and activity logs start on Professional, $4.49 a user a month billed annually.
- NordPass Teams includes three. Its SSO works with Google Workspace only, and sharing by folder and data breach monitoring are Business additions.
- Zoho Vault Standard includes two, admin controls and activity reports. It shares single passwords but not folders, breached password alerts start on Professional, and SSO is Enterprise only.
- Keeper Business Starter includes one, the admin console. Its Business card lists shared team folders as an addition, though its comparison table ticks them for Business Starter. Dark web alerts cost $24 a user a year extra, event logs $12, and SSO is Enterprise only.

If you keep logins for clients
Our ranking for agencies looks for four things on the entry plan: sharing an item outside the account, a separate shared vault per client, view-only or edit permissions per vault, and import from another password manager. All nine state at least two.
- Six let you share with someone who has no account: 1Password, Bitwarden through Send, Keeper through One-Time Share, LastPass, Proton Pass through a link, and Zoho Vault, whose link is view-only and lasts 30 minutes to 24 hours.
- With Dashlane, NordPass and RoboForm, the person you share with needs the app. A new RoboForm business account also starts with user sharing turned off until an admin changes the policy.
- Keeper and NordPass state only two of the four, outside sharing and import. Both put shared folders on their Business plan, and Zoho Vault puts them on Professional.

If you won't commit to a year
Four publish a monthly price: Zoho Vault Standard at $1 a user, Proton Pass Essentials at $4.99 a user, NordPass Teams at $24.90 for the 10-user pack, and 1Password Teams Starter Pack at $29.90. Keeper, LastPass, RoboForm and Dashlane show annual billing only. Bitwarden's help center says Teams can be billed monthly, but we didn't find a monthly price. Checked Oct 1, 2026.
How the ranking weighs them
The monthly cost for five users counts for 35% of the score, what the entry plan includes 25%, a free plan and support 15% each, and a published security audit 10%. If one of these matters more to you than its weight, read the ranking with that in mind. The formula behind each criterion is on how we score business password managers.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free business password manager?
Zoho Vault has a free-forever plan that business users can use, but it doesn't include password sharing. The others offer trials instead:
- 1Password, Dashlane, LastPass and NordPass: 14 days. LastPass and NordPass ask for no credit card.
- RoboForm: 14 days for up to 30 users, no credit card.
- Proton Pass: 14 days, then it becomes a paid plan unless you cancel.
- Zoho Vault also has a 15-day trial of its paid plans, after which the account moves to the free plan.
- Bitwarden and Keeper offer trials but don't give the length on their pricing pages.
Checked Oct 1, 2026.
Which plans include single sign-on?
On the entry plan, only RoboForm, Dashlane and NordPass, whose Teams plan works with Google Workspace only. Elsewhere SSO starts on Proton Pass Professional ($4.49), LastPass Business ($7, limited to 3 apps), 1Password Business ($8.99), and the Enterprise plans of Bitwarden ($6), Keeper ($6) and Zoho Vault ($7.20). Those prices are a user a month, billed annually. Checked Oct 1, 2026.
Can I cancel and get a refund?
- Zoho Vault refunds in full within 45 days of an annual purchase.
- Proton Pass has a 30-day money-back guarantee. Its pages disagree on a full or prorated refund, so expect prorated.
- Bitwarden refunds a subscription less than 30 days old, and NordPass takes refund requests within 14 days of your first purchase.
- 1Password and LastPass keep you active to the end of the period you paid for, with no refund. RoboForm says its business licenses are not refundable.
- Dashlane, Keeper and LastPass renew yearly unless you give notice at least 30 days before the term ends.
Checked Oct 1, 2026.
Have these password managers been independently audited?
All nine say so on their own pages. 1Password, Bitwarden, Keeper and LastPass name SOC 2 Type II, and Zoho names SOC 2 Type 2 for the whole company. RoboForm publishes a test by Secfault Security, Dashlane has an annual independent penetration test, and NordPass and Proton Pass say independent third parties audit them. Checked Oct 1, 2026.
What support comes with the entry plan?
- Dashlane: email 7 days a week, live chat and phone.
- Keeper: priority email, live chat and phone for business customers, though it adds that options vary by plan.
- RoboForm: tickets answered by email 24/7, live chat from 6 AM to 8 PM Eastern on weekdays, and a phone call you request through a ticket.
- LastPass Teams: a 24/7 chatbot, a web case form and 24/7 callback phone support.
- Zoho Vault: email, phone and remote assistance.
- Proton Pass: an AI chat that hands you to a person. Phone support needs at least 6 users.
- NordPass: live chat, and no phone.
- Bitwarden: 24/7 email. 1Password: 24/7 email, forum and social media; phone is Business only.
