Price

Billed yearly, SignWell Light is $10 a month ($120) and Dropbox Sign Essentials $15 ($180): $60 a year apart. Month to month, it's $12 against $20.

Adding people works differently. SignWell charges $10 a month per extra sender on annual Light, or $30 a month for 3 senders on Business with unlimited templates. Dropbox Sign moves you to Standard at $25 per user a month billed yearly, with a 2-user minimum; three users cost $75 a month.

SignWell's pricing page says "No long-term contracts". Dropbox Sign's pages we read don't state cancellation terms.

Prices from Dropbox Sign's pricing page and SignWell's pricing page, both read Sep 27, 2026.

Where they differ

  • Support. SignWell says it's "available by email, phone, or over a Zoom call" on every plan; no chat is stated. Dropbox Sign's pricing table lists "Email" for Essentials, while the row's tooltip says all customers get email and chat. We use the table's reading: email only.
  • HIPAA. SignWell's comparison table ticks "HIPAA support / BAA" for Light. Dropbox Sign's features page says it can support HIPAA with a signed BAA, "minimum contract value required".
  • Free plans. Both send 3 documents a month free. SignWell's allows 1 template; Dropbox Sign's help page adds unlimited self-signing.
  • Public signing links. SignWell Light includes Template Links you can place on a website. Dropbox Sign Essentials has template links too.
  • Signer checks. Dropbox Sign's SMS authentication starts at Standard; SignWell's passcodes start at Business.
  • Integrations. Dropbox Sign's pricing table lists Google Drive, Microsoft Word and HubSpot for Essentials. SignWell's Google Drive integration saves completed signed documents back to Google Drive, and its table ticks integrations (native plus 9,000+ via Zapier) for every plan.

Who should pick which

Pick SignWell if you want the lower price, phone support, cheaper extra senders, or a signed HIPAA BAA on the entry plan.

Pick Dropbox Sign if you want a 30-day trial of its paid plans, or expect to move up to Standard for branding, bulk send and in-person signing.
