Price

Paid upfront for a year, both cost $120 for one user (about $10 a month). DocuSign also offers $11 a month on an annual commitment and $15 month to month; Foxit offers no monthly billing.

DocuSign's default option, $11 a month, is "an annual commitment of $132": you can cancel within 30 days without penalty, after that the rest of the year is owed. Foxit's pages we read don't state cancellation terms.

For five users, DocuSign Standard is $300 per user a year paid upfront, $1,500 in total, with 100 envelopes per user a year. Foxit eSign Business is also $300 per user a year, with a 5-license minimum ($1,500 a year), and has unlimited envelopes and templates plus custom branding.

Prices from DocuSign's pricing page and Foxit's pricing page, both read Sep 27, 2026.

Where they differ

  • Envelopes. DocuSign Personal allows 5 a month, 60 a year. Foxit's Essentials card says "250 envelopes annually". Its FAQ says Foxit doesn't use per-envelope pricing or "transaction limits"; we use the card's cap, the worse reading.
  • Cloud storage. DocuSign ticks Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Box for Personal. Foxit's storage links are Foxit Connectors, a paid add-on on both plans (its table also ticks "Upload Integrations" for Essentials; we read them as an add-on).
  • Signer checks. Foxit's table ticks eSignature Authentication for Essentials: SMS and email codes; its KBA Enterprise Authentication is Business only. DocuSign's ID verification isn't on Personal; on Standard or Business Pro it's an add-on from $2.40 an attempt.
  • Support. DocuSign's Standard Support is the Support Center and chat. Foxit lists phone and tickets for Essentials; no chat is stated.
  • Trying it. Foxit offers a 14-day free trial of Essentials with no credit card. DocuSign offers a free trial of unstated length. Its home page says "Send, sign and manage all your agreements for free", but the pricing page lists no free plan, so we read it as a trial.

Who should pick which

Pick DocuSign if you send 5 envelopes a month or fewer, want month-to-month billing, or want cloud storage links included.

Pick Foxit eSign if you send up to about 20 a month, want SMS or email signer checks on the entry plan, or would rather call than chat.
