If you won't commit to a year
Each price in this list is for the cheapest paid plan that includes stock video. Paying yearly cuts it a lot, so decide first whether you will need footage all year.
- Canva Pro is $144 a year ($12 a month) or $18 month to month.
- Envato Core is $16.50 a month billed annually, or $39 billed monthly.
- Storyblocks Essentials is $21 a month billed annually ($252 a year), or $42 billed monthly.
- Motion Array Everything is $24.99 a month billed yearly, or $39.99 monthly.
- Adobe Stock's 10 credits a month plan is $29.99 a month on an annual commitment, or $49.99 month to month. Cancel the annual plan after 14 days and you pay a fee of up to half the rest of the commitment.
- Artlist Max is $50.66 a month billed annually. We didn't find a monthly price for it, and its FAQ's list of plans you can pay monthly doesn't include Max.

If you make videos for clients
Client work is where the licences differ, so read each one before you deliver a client project.
- Artlist's Pro licence on Max names client work and covers up to three channels on any platform.
- Envato's licence says you can use an item "to create an End Product for yourself or for a client of yours". Handing that end product to a client requires that your subscription remains active.
- Adobe Stock's Standard License lets you transfer the licence to your client or employer, but not to more than one unless each is licensed separately.
- Canva's licence lets you transfer a Canva design containing its content to a client for the client's own use.
- Storyblocks' Individual license covers "usage by the individual for both personal and commercial projects". Its licence text says it does not cover any other individual, entity or company, and points to the Business License for cover of you and your entity, company or client.
- Motion Array's licence page says "Personal and commercial licenses included" and lists advertising, broadcast TV and feature films among its uses. We didn't find client work mentioned on its pricing, licence or terms pages, and its Business plan is the one aimed at agencies.
Storyblocks' licence was checked on Sep 26, 2026, Adobe Stock's on Sep 27, 2026, the others on Sep 25, 2026.
What you can still use after you cancel
Each company words this differently:
- Envato: the licence becomes perpetual once an item is in a completed end product. Cancel before you finish, and the licence for that item ends.
- Motion Array: "the projects you finished as a paid member will remain covered forever."
- Artlist: projects published during your subscription can keep being used in the same media.
- Storyblocks: what you created and published as a member stays covered, but its comparison table answers No for the Individual license on "Perpetual use of assets after your subscription ends". That row is about using downloaded clips in new work after you cancel.
- Adobe Stock: Standard licences are perpetual, with print runs capped at 500,000. Cancelling a credit plan forfeits your unused credits.
- Canva: the licence is perpetual for each design, but the same agreement says Canva can cancel or change it. We didn't find a Canva page that says what happens to published designs after you cancel.

Check what the entry plan leaves out
We check four kinds of media on each entry plan: stock video, music, sound effects and templates.
- Envato Core, Motion Array Everything and Artlist Max list all four.
- Canva Pro lists videos, audio and templates, and its licence covers Pro Music. We didn't find sound effects listed.
- Adobe Stock's entry plan has music and templates within its 10 monthly credits, and only 1 video a month. We didn't find sound effects on its pages.
- Storyblocks Essentials has footage and video templates but no music or sound effects. Those start on Unlimited All Access, at $30 a month billed annually.
Adobe Stock was checked on Sep 27, 2026, the others on Sep 25, 2026.
How the ranking weighs them
Price counts for 35% of the score, what the licence covers 25%, what stays licensed after you cancel 15%, the catalogue 15% and a free plan or trial 10%. If you work for clients, read the licence section above rather than relying on the licence score. The formula behind each criterion is on how we score stock media subscriptions.
