Switching from Bizee: tell it before the renewal date

Updated Oct 1, 2026

The short answer

Bizee's policy says you leave its registered agent by assigning a new agent with the state and notifying Bizee, before your current service expires. Otherwise Bizee may auto-renew it at $149 a year, and its terms say renewal charges can't be reversed. Bizee publishes no fee for leaving. InCorp charges $129 a year and pays the state's change fee up to what you paid it.

The steps

  1. Step 1 · not stated on its pages · No fee stated

Download your documents from the Bizee Dashboard

Formation documents, EIN letter, operating agreement and state correspondence can be downloaded or shared from the dashboard without contacting support. Bizee doesn't say how long access lasts after you leave.

  2. Step 2 · Before the current service's expiration date · $149 a year if it renews

    Find your renewal date

Bizee may auto-renew the service if it isn't told of the new agent by the expiration date, and renewal charges can't be reversed once applied.

  3. Step 3 · Address immediately; filing instructions within 1 business day (InCorp) · $129 a year at InCorp

    Order your new registered agent

InCorp gives its address immediately and filing instructions within 1 business day. CorpNet is $149 a year. Harbor is $99 the first year for new customers, then $159, and can extend your term to avoid double payment.

  4. Step 4 · 2-4 business days at CorpNet before the state's time; InCorp and Harbor don't state theirs · State fee covered up to what you paid at InCorp; $199 at CorpNet; Harbor not published

File the change of agent with the state

InCorp helps with the change forms and pays the state's fee up to what you paid it. CorpNet lists the filing at $199 standard, 2-4 business days before the state's time. Harbor's specialists file it; no price is published.

  5. Step 5 · Before the service's expiration date · No fee stated

Bizee's registered agent comes free for the first year with its formation packages, then renews at $149 a year. Leaving is simple on paper. Its cancellation policy, which also carries its terms, says you can cancel "at any time by assigning a new registered agent with state and notifying Bizee of the change." The catch is timing, because renewals can't be undone. Everything here comes from the companies' own pages, read Sep 25-30, 2026.

What Bizee's terms say

  • Renewal: if Bizee isn't told about the new agent by the expiration date of your current service, "Bizee may automatically renew these Services." The renewal is charged by Bizee's registered agent partner (the page names LegalInc).
  • Refunds: auto-renew fees for the registered agent "cannot be reversed, discounted or in any way altered" once they hit your account. On termination, "no refunds shall be provided for payments previously made."
  • Fees for leaving: none published. The policy mentions no cancellation, early termination or resignation fee.
  • State fee: Bizee's own guide to changing agents says the state's fee "typically run $10 to $50" and that most states process the change "within a few business days."

Save your documents first

The Bizee Dashboard holds your Articles of Organization, EIN letter, operating agreement and state correspondence, and you "can download or share them without contacting support." Bizee doesn't say how long they stay readable after you leave. Its terms say "Upon termination, you may lose access to some or all of the Services," and ask customers to keep their own copies. Download everything before you notify Bizee.

Where to move

InCorp, CorpNet and Harbor Compliance, from our registered agent ranking, each publish a way to take over from another agent. None has a guide that names Bizee. Prices from their pages, read Sep 25-30, 2026.

  • InCorp Services: $129 a year, $20 a year less than Bizee's renewal. It offers "free help with Registered Agent Change forms," its address immediately and filing instructions "within 1 business day." Its fees page says it pays the state's change fee up to what you paid InCorp for the agent service, and adds anything above that to your order.
  • CorpNet: agent at $149 a year, the same as Bizee's renewal. Its price list shows "Change a Registered Agent" at $199 standard or $349 express. Its change page says it will cover "any change of agent of fees", but we use the listed $199. Processing for agent changes takes 2-4 business days before the state's time.
  • Harbor Compliance: $99 the first year for new customers, then $159. On sign-up you get its address and "the state forms you need pre-filled" (registered agent page). Its specialists can file the change, and it says "we can extend your subscription term so that you avoid double payment" for the rest of a current contract. No price is published for that help, and no time.

What carries over and what doesn't

Your company and its filings stay as they are; only the agent on the state's record changes. Bizee doesn't say what happens to mail that reaches it after you leave. The main loss is money. A renewal charged before Bizee hears from you stays charged. Dashboard access after leaving isn't promised.

Who should move: owners near the end of the free year or a $149 renewal who want InCorp's lower price, or Harbor's $99 first year and its offer to avoid double payment. Who can wait: anyone mid-term, since Bizee doesn't refund unused time. See how we score agents in the methodology.
