Registered Agents Inc review: $200 a year with the annual report filed

Updated Oct 1, 2026 · scored under rubric v1

Verdict

Registered Agents Inc suits a company that wants its annual report filed and legal papers scanned the same day for one yearly fee, in any state. The catches: $200 a year with no discount, fees when you leave, and no published support hours.

Registered Agents Inc charges $200 a year per state for its registered agent, which includes filing your annual report (you pay the state fee), same-day scans, an online account and a business address. Forming an LLC costs $100 plus state fees and includes the first year of agent service; from year two you pay the $200. It publishes no support hours.

What it does well

  • Annual report filing is included in the $200 agent fee (state fee extra)
  • Same-day scans, an online account and a business address with the agent
  • Covers all 50 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico
  • LLC formation is $100 with the first year of agent service

Where it falls short

  • $200 a year, with no first-year discount
  • Its terms make you pay the filing fees for its resignation when you cancel
  • No refunds for registered agent services
  • No published support hours or processing time
  • Its pages don't say the LLC package includes an operating agreement or EIN

Registered Agents Inc sells registered agent service with annual report filing, business formation, mail scanning, and business identity services such as domains, websites, email and phone numbers.

What you get on the registered agent service

For $200 a year, the agent accepts legal papers and the company says it will "take care of your annual report for you at no extra cost"; you pay the state's fee. The order page says the service "includes a business address, annual report filing, and same-day document scans". Documents live in your online account, and your personal address stays off the public record. It covers "all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico".

What you get on Business Formation

It charges "$100 plus state fees to form your business. This includes one free year of registered agent service", and with it the annual report filing. From year two, the agent is billed at $200 a year. The site offers a free operating agreement template to download, but no page says the package includes one. It mentions getting an EIN in its FAQ without a price, and its pages say the IRS issues EINs free of charge. It publishes no processing time.

Catches and fine print

  • Document limits. Its client agreement covers up to 15 legal documents a year, and "a fee may be applied" above that (amount not published). Regular mail isn't included. A separate mail scanning add-on is $50 a year for 10 documents or $100 a year for 25, then $15 per extra document; forwarding a physical document is $15 plus shipping.
  • Cancellation: its terms say two things. The termination policy says "There are no fees to cancel". The same page says you are responsible for termination costs, including "filing fees for resigning as registered agent". We use the worse reading: leaving can cost you a fee. You cancel in the client portal, and autopay must be cancelled at least one day before the next charge.
  • Refunds. The same page: "No Refunds for registered agent services", and all purchases are final after 90 days. Any refund before then is at the company's discretion.
  • Owners outside the US. Its pages don't say whether it forms LLCs for non-US owners.

Support

Its contact page lists a headquarters number and regional branches, but no page we read publishes support hours.

Other services

It files DBAs once you have its agent or formation service, with no price published. Its pages don't mention forming PLLCs or a business licence research service.

Who it suits

Registered Agents Inc suits a company that wants its agent, same-day scans and annual report filing handled together in one or more states, and values that over the lowest yearly price. It also suits a founder forming an LLC who plans to keep the agent after year one. Look elsewhere if you want a cheaper agent, published support hours, or an LLC package that lists an operating agreement and EIN.
