Loyverse suits small cafes, bars and shops that want a free POS with inventory, loyalty and a kitchen display, and already have a card processor. The catch: Loyverse doesn't take cards itself, and live support needs a paid add-on.
Loyverse is a free point-of-sale app with essential inventory, a loyalty program, a kitchen display and offline sales. Paid add-ons are per store: unlimited sales history $5 a month, and employee management or advanced inventory $25 a month each. Loyverse doesn't process card payments or sell readers; a separate payment partner sets the card rate. Free users get help-centre and community support only.
What it does well
- The POS is free, with no contract.

- Offline sales that sync when you reconnect.
Where it falls short

What you get on the free plan
- Sales from a phone, tablet or supported POS device.
- Sales analytics for the last 31 days.
- Essential inventory: "Track stock for items and their components. Get low-stock alerts."
- A loyalty program: "Reward customers and encourage repeat visits."
- A customer display and a kitchen display that sends "orders to the kitchen in real time".
- Multi-store management and integrations.
- Offline sales: "All data will be automatically synced once connection is restored" (features page).
Catches and fine print
- No card processing. Loyverse doesn't process cards or sell card readers. Payments go through a partner (US partners include SumUp and Shift4) or any reader with totals keyed in by hand. Loyverse's pages publish no card rate and no reader price. Price the partner separately.
- Time cards. Loyverse's pages disagree. The features page lists a time clock without saying it is paid, while the pricing FAQ puts time cards in the Employee management add-on, $25 a month per store. We use the pricing FAQ's reading.
- No online ordering or online store. Loyverse's restaurant page offers online ordering only through third-party integrations.
- Add-ons add up. Both $25 add-ons together cost $50 a month per store.
- Sales history. Reports on the free plan go back 31 days; the $5-a-month add-on ($50 a year) keeps the rest.
- No contract. "Yes — manage your add-ons in the Back Office, adding or cancelling them whenever your needs change."
Support
Free users get the Help Center and the Loyverse Town community. "Live Chat Support is available for subscribers of Loyverse's paid features" 24/7 (download page). No phone or email support is listed.
Who it suits
Loyverse suits small cafes, bars, food trucks and shops that want a free POS with a kitchen display and loyalty, and can arrange card processing with a partner.
