Business phone

How much does a virtual phone number cost? $7.99 to $19 a month to start

Quick answer

A virtual business number costs $7.99 to $19 a month on the entry plans we compare when billed annually, and $9.99 to $28 month to month. Google Voice is $10 a user but needs Google Workspace, from $8.40 a user. Some services price per user, others per number or per account. Extra numbers cost $5 to $9 a month, and local texting can add registration fees.

A virtual business number is cheaper than a full phone system, but the way it's priced varies: per user, per number or per account with users included. Here is what the seven services in our virtual phone numbers ranking charge, read from their own pages between Sep 24 and Sep 27, 2026.
