Switching from Kling AI: download first, and mind the commercial-use terms
Updated Oct 15, 2026
Cancel Kling AI more than a day before your billing cycle ends, or the next cycle may already be charged; fees are non-refundable once activated. Monthly credits expire with the plan. Kling's pages don't describe exporting your videos, so download clips while you pay. Commercial use is a member benefit and its general terms bar it otherwise. Luma and Runway both offer Kling 3.0 inside their plans.
The steps

Kling AI makes cancelling easy and leaving untidy. The subscription stops cleanly at the end of the cycle, but its pages say little about exporting your work and leave commercial rights after you go unclear. Everything below comes from Kling's own terms, credits policy and pricing page, and from the destinations' pages, read Sep 30, 2026.
Save your clips while you pay
Kling's terms, credits policy, pricing FAQ and guides don't describe exporting or bulk-downloading your videos, or how long they are kept after you leave. On expiry, the Terms of Paid Service say "your Member Account will be restored to a Regular Account". Watermark removal is a member benefit, and the credits policy lists it among premium-only functions. So download the clips you want while your plan is active. Deleting the account is final: the Terms of Service say you "will not be able to reactivate it or recover any content".
Cancelling and money
Plans renew automatically. On the web, cancel at Profile > Manage Plan > Cancel Subscription, per the pricing page FAQ; Apple subscriptions are cancelled under your Apple ID's Subscriptions settings. The plan then runs to the end of the current cycle. Cancel early: the paid terms warn that if you cancel "within one (1) day prior to the end of the current billing cycle", the payment channel may already have charged the next cycle.
There's no refund. Once a plan is activated, "the fee paid for the Paid Service is non-refundable". No early termination fee is named.
Credits split two ways. When your subscription expires, unused monthly credits "will expire and can no longer be used". Credits you bought separately are valid for 2 years from purchase and stay usable without a subscription.
Commercial use after you leave
This is the catch. The paid terms say "KLING AI members' use of the Output for commercial purposes is not restricted", but they list it among the benefits you get during your membership. The FAQ says an expired subscriber will "no longer have access to Subscription benefits". And Kling's general Terms of Service say that without written permission you may not use the output "for any commercial purposes". Kling's pages don't say whether clips made while you paid keep their commercial licence. We read it the way worse for you: if a clip matters commercially, ask Kling for written confirmation before you cancel.
Where to go
None of the three names a Kling importer, but two sell Kling's own model. Compare the full field on our AI video generator ranking.
Luma Dream Machine. Its pricing page lists Kling 3.0 and Kling Omni, billed in Luma credits (Kling 3.0 at 720p: 30 credits a second). Its video-to-video guide takes an uploaded clip up to 20 seconds. Plus costs $30 a month, or $25 a month billed yearly, and lists commercial use. Luma's terms tie commercial use to outputs made during a paid subscription, and exclude output from third-party models from Luma's ownership assignment. Prices from its pricing page, read Sep 25, 2026.
Runway. The Standard plan card on its pricing page lists Kling 3.0 among its models. Runway stores every upload in Assets and takes JPEG, PNG and WebP images and MP4 and MOV video, per its file types article. Its terms don't restrict commercial use of your outputs. Standard costs $12 a month billed annually, or $15 monthly. Prices from its pricing page, read Oct 9, 2026.
Hailuo AI. Its MiniMax H3 page accepts up to 9 images, 3 video clips and 3 audio clips as references, 12 files in all. Its paid terms let you use paid-plan content commercially; Standard is listed at $14.99 a month. Prices from its terms, read Sep 25, 2026.
Who should switch
Switching suits you if you mainly want Kling's model at a tool with clearer terms: Luma and Runway both offer it. If you sell or license your clips, settle the commercial-use question with Kling before you cancel. Our methodology explains how we compare plans.
