How we score AI video generators

We score each AI video generator on its entry plan - the cheapest paid plan whose licence allows commercial use - using only what the company publishes on its own website: the price, the credits it includes and what a clip costs in credits, the licence, watermarks, output resolution and whether there is a free plan. Every score is worked out by the formula shown for its criterion, and every fact behind it links to the page it came from, with the date we read it.
A fact the company does not publish counts as absent. We have not tested output quality; when we do, the method will say so and the rubric version will change.
The criteria

| Video per dollar | 25% | Seconds of video the entry plan's monthly credits buy with the company's standard model, divided by its monthly price. 10 at 10 seconds per dollar or more, 0 at 0.5 or less, straight line between. Not published scores 0. |
| Commercial use | 20% | The entry paid plan's licence: commercial use allowed 10; allowed with limits (attribution, revenue caps, some models only) 5; not allowed or not published 0. |
| Free plan or trial | 10% | 10 if there is a free plan or a free trial, else 0. |
| Resolution | 10% | Highest output resolution on the entry paid plan: 4K 10; 1080p 7; 720p 4; lower or not published 0. |
| No watermark | 10% | 10 if the entry paid plan exports without a watermark, else 0. |
The overall score is 10 × the sum of weight × criterion score, from 0 to 100, shown as 0-10 with one decimal.
