Hostinger Premium is $2.99 a month for 48 months, paid upfront as $143.52, and then "Renews at $10.99/mo". The builder page shows only that 48-month term and doesn't say how long the renewal term is.
Wix Light is $17 a month on a yearly subscription paid in full, $204 a year, with no introductory price. Wix doesn't show monthly-billing prices.
Over four years at today's prices, Wix Light comes to $816, against Hostinger's $143.52. After Hostinger's first term, $10.99 a month is about $131.88 a year, $72.12 below Wix Light.
Where they differ
- Free plan. Wix has a free plan for a Wix-branded site on a Wix address. Hostinger has no free plan; its builder page offers a 14-day trial, but the help centre says 7 days, and we use 7. Trial sites can't be published.
- Support. Wix Light lists 24/7 customer care by chat, or a scheduled call with a Customer Care Expert. Hostinger's Premium card offers "chatbot support from Hostinger Agent", which can hand over to a person. Its main pricing page lists priority 24/7 support on Premium; we use the builder page, the worse reading. No phone support is published.
- Refunds. Wix says you can cancel a first Premium plan within 14 days for a full refund.
- Branding. Wix Light removes Wix branding. Hostinger's pages don't say whether paid sites carry Hostinger branding.
- Sites and extras. Hostinger Premium covers up to 3 websites and 2 mailboxes per website, free for 1 year. Wix Light has 2 GB storage and 4 lead-capture forms.
- Restaurants. Wix Light includes custom menus, with online orders and reservations from Core at $29 a month billed yearly. Hostinger's restaurant page offers a menu upload with a QR code.
Who should pick which
Pick Hostinger if you want the smaller outlay across four years and are happy to pay it all upfront.
Pick Wix if you want to start free, pay a year at a time, get round-the-clock chat, or add restaurant ordering and reservations later on Core.
