Atlantic.Net's cheapest HIPAA plan, HIPAA Developer, costs $552.31 a month on a 12-month term, with no introductory price, plus a one-time $150 firewall setup fee. It includes a signed HIPAA Business Associate Agreement, a managed firewall and on-site and off-site daily backups. Plans are sold through sales, support is 24/7 by phone and email, and ending early leaves the rest of the term's fees due.

What you get on HIPAA Developer
- A Linux managed cloud server: 6 vCPU, 16GB RAM, 200GB SSD storage.
- A fully managed FortiGate firewall, server management and scheduled vulnerability scans.
- A Business Associate Agreement, listed on the plan card. The page says: "Most importantly, Atlantic.Net signs the Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with HIPAA WordPress hosting customers."
- On-site and off-site daily backups.
- A cPanel licence for 5 accounts.
Its pages don't say that an SSL certificate is included: one line calls SSL/TLS certificates "Additional web hosting services", while the FAQ says "We use ... SSL/TLS certificates". They also don't list a domain, a staging site or mailboxes for the HIPAA plans.
Catches and fine print
- No refund window. Its master services agreement says that if you end the service early, "all fees due under the Agreement, including the monthly recurring fees for the remaining portion of the Term, are due". The "Money Back Guarantee" elsewhere on its site is uptime service credits, not a refund.
- Renewals. The agreement renews orders for terms equal to the first, and its cloud terms let Atlantic.Net raise fees from a renewal term after 30 days' notice. No renewal price is published because there is no introductory price.
- Month to month: not offered on its pages. Its pages give no monthly price or term for the HIPAA plans.
- Sales-led. Each plan says "Contact Us To Get Started"; there is no online checkout.
- Not a store host. It sells no WooCommerce plan; its e-commerce FAQ offers WooCommerce only self-managed.
Support
"24/7 Support via Phone and Email" (source). Its FAQ adds "24/7/365 via phone and email". No chat channel is published.
Who it suits
Atlantic.Net suits a clinic, practice or health business whose website collects patient information (intake forms, bookings) and which needs a signed BAA and managed security, with the budget for a managed server. Look elsewhere if your site holds no patient information: a small business site doesn't need a $552.31 server. Also look elsewhere if you want to pay month to month or keep a way out in the first 30 days.
