Switching from doola: the agent and address leave with the plan

Updated Oct 15, 2026

The short answer

doola's Starter plan ($297 a year) includes the registered agent and a US business address, so leaving means replacing both. Cancel by email to hello@doola.com; it takes effect at the next renewal date. doola's terms say all payments are nonrefundable. InCorp's agent is $129 a year; Bizee files the change for $99 plus the state fee.

doola's Starter plan is a yearly subscription at $297 a year. It bundles formation, the EIN, a registered agent and a virtual mailing and business address. That shapes any move. When the plan ends, the agent and the address end with it, so both need replacing. Everything below comes from the companies' own pages, read Sep 25-30, 2026.

Cancelling at doola

  • How: "send us an email to hello@doola.com indicating your desire to cancel your subscription" (help centre).
  • When it takes effect: the cancellation "will take effect upon your next renewal date," though you can ask to cancel immediately (help centre).
  • Renewal: per its terms, recurring fees "automatically renew at the rates then in effect" until cancelled.
  • Refunds: none. "All payments are nonrefundable, and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods" (terms). Service continues until the paid period ends.
  • Fees for leaving: none published. doola's pages mention no cancellation, early termination or resignation fee, and its add-on price list has no change-of-agent filing.

doola's registered agent page says changing an agent means completing "the necessary paperwork with your state authorities." It doesn't say what happens to mail that reaches its address after you leave, or how long documents stay readable after the paid period.

Save your documents

Your formation document, operating agreement and EIN letter are in the dashboard: "Sign in → Documents on your dashboard → download what you need" (help centre). Scanned registered agent mail can be downloaded there too. Do this before the paid period runs out, since no page promises access after it.

Where to move

Bizee, CorpNet and InCorp, from our LLC formation ranking, each publish a way to take over as registered agent from another provider. None names doola. Prices from their pages, read Sep 25-30, 2026.

What carries over and what doesn't

Your company, EIN and documents carry over. The registered agent and the business address don't. Both belong to doola's plan. Paid time isn't refunded, so the cheapest moment to leave is just before a renewal.

Who should move: founders who only need an agent. InCorp's $129 a year is $168 less than doola's Starter, though Starter also includes the address. Who should stay: founders who rely on doola's address; Bizee lists its address at $29 a month for companies it formed, and we didn't find a price for companies it didn't form. See how we score formation services in the methodology.
