E-signature

How much does e-signature software cost?

Quick answer

Billed yearly, e-signature entry plans cost $8 to $19 a month for one sender: SignNow $8, SignWell, DocuSign, Zoho Sign and Signeasy $10, Foxit $120 a year, Adobe US$14.99, Dropbox Sign $15 and PandaDoc $19. Month to month they cost $12 to $35. Per-user plans above the entry tier run US$16 to $49 per user a month billed yearly.

E-signature pricing looks simple until you add a second sender or pass a send cap. Here is what the 9 tools in our e-signature ranking charge, from their own pages, read on Sep 27, 2026.

What a document costs on a capped plan

Several entry plans cap how much you can send. DocuSign Personal allows 5 envelopes a month, so at $10 a month each envelope costs $2 if you use them all. Foxit Essentials allows 250 envelopes a year for $120, or $0.48 each. SignNow Business allows 100 invites a year per account for $96, or $0.96 each, shared across all users. Zoho Sign Standard allows 25 envelopes per user a month. SignWell, PandaDoc and Dropbox Sign don't cap documents on the entry plan, and Adobe's pages don't state a limit for Acrobat Standard.

Three senders

A small office with three people sending, billed yearly:

  • SignNow Business: $8 a month in total, because users are unlimited, but the 100-invite yearly allowance is shared.
  • SignWell Business: $30 a month for 3 senders, with unlimited templates.
  • Zoho Sign Standard: $30 a month (US$10 per user).
  • Adobe Acrobat Standard for teams: US$50.97 a month (US$16.99 per license).
  • PandaDoc Starter: $57 a month ($19 per user).
  • Signeasy Business: $60 a month ($20 a seat); Personal is for one user.
  • Dropbox Sign Standard or DocuSign Standard: $75 a month ($25 per user). Dropbox Standard needs at least 2 users; DocuSign Standard allows up to 50.

Foxit's team plan, eSign Business, is $300 per user a year with a 5-licence minimum.

Top self-serve plans

The next plans up add bulk send, web forms, payments and signer checks. Billed yearly: DocuSign Business Pro is $40 per user a month ($65 monthly), PandaDoc Business $49 ($65 monthly), Zoho Sign Enterprise US$22 (US$28 monthly), Signeasy Business Pro $30 ($40 monthly) and SignNow Enterprise $30 for the account ($50 monthly). Adobe's Acrobat Studio is US$24.99 a month on an annual plan. Larger teams go to sales: DocuSign Enhanced plans, Dropbox Sign Premium, PandaDoc Enterprise and SignWell Enterprise, which is for teams of 50 or more.

Fees and add-ons

  • DocuSign: SMS delivery from $0.36 per delivery and ID verification from $2.40 per attempt, plus tax, on Standard or Business Pro only.
  • Zoho Sign: credits at US$0.10 each, sold in packs of 500, for envelopes sent through the API or third-party apps.
  • SignNow: past the invite allowance the plan moves to pay-as-you-go; the Site License is $1.50 per signature invite.
  • Foxit eSign: cloud storage connectors (Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, OneDrive) are a paid add-on with no price shown.
  • Signeasy: HIPAA compliance is an add-on on Business Pro, priced at $1000 in the table without a billing period.
  • SignWell: extra senders cost $10 a month on Light billed yearly ($12 monthly) and $12 a month on Business billed yearly ($15 monthly).

Commitments and cancelling

Yearly billing saves money but can lock you in. DocuSign's default "Annual | Billed monthly" option is an annual commitment: you can cancel within 30 days without penalty, and after that the rest of the year is owed. Adobe charges up to half the remaining annual commitment if you cancel an annual plan billed monthly after 14 days, and gives no refund on a prepaid year after 14 days. SignNow offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, Signeasy a 100-day guarantee on yearly plans, and SignWell says it has no long-term contracts.

Free plans

Four tools have a free plan for sending: SignWell (3 documents a month), Dropbox Sign (3 signature requests a month), Zoho Sign (5 envelopes a month, one user) and PandaDoc (60 documents a calendar year). A free Acrobat account allows two signature requests every 30 days. DocuSign, SignNow, Signeasy and Foxit offer trials only.
